Shipping your puppies
It is always best when you can come pick up your new family member, but if that is absolutely impossible we are experienced shippers. Another option is you flying into Richmond VA and carrying your puppy back. Air Tran offers many extremely low fairs to major airports.

The Airline charges about 179.00 for one or two puppies except Westcoast shipments tend to run about 20.00 more. My vet charges 47.00 for a health certificate, and the shipping crate cost about 30.00 complete with water and food bowls. I ask you to pay 275.00 to have one or two puppies shipped except to the west coat I will need 295.00.
That is only a small amount above the actual cost to help defray my cost for gas and parking at the airports. Please understand that my closest airport is one hour drive each direction and Richmond International airport is over 2 hours each direction. |

A note about ground shipping
At certain times of the year dogs can travel ground in an airconditioned or heated car to Western PA and Northeastern Oh, as well as, parts of TN, NC, SC. The total charge for this is 125.00 if you meet the carrier along the interstate and 250.00 if the carrier brings the puppy to your door. This service is not always available but if you live in these areas ASK!

How shipping actually works....
First the puppy is paid in full via paypal or postal money order. Next, I take the puppy to a vet for a health certificate. Then, we attempt to find a time to fly the puppy that works for both of our schedules. I am going to attempt to ship 2 times each month once out of Richmond International and once out of Lynchburg.
On the day of the flight it must be below 85 degrees at all points in the puppies flight.
I take the puppy to the airport about 2 hours prior to the flight and fill out paperwork which includes your physical mailing address and your mobil telephone number. I release the puppy to the counter personel and you pick up the puppy normally at the cargo facility-- for Delta about 30 minutes after the arrival time. The airlines require photo ID to collect the puppy. You also need a flight bill number which I will call you with after the puppy is on the plane. If there is a delay, about 15 percent of the time, the airlines normally call you. However, if you are traveling a long distance to the airpot it would be smart to call the 800 number and they can track your puppy using the flight bill number to know if he or she is scheduled to land on time. |
